Right-click on an object in the Object Manager and choose Rename Object to rename an object. The name of the object is highlighted in the Object Manager. Enter the new name for the object. There are two other methods for renaming an object. Click an object name in the Object Manager and then press F2, or click an object name in the Object Manager, pause for a moment, and click again to rename the object. You must allow enough time between the two clicks so it is not interpreted as a double-click to rename an object in this manner.
The new name cannot be a duplicate of the name of a current object in the project.
