Bounding Box Definition

The bounding box is defined as the smallest rectangle, with horizontal and vertical sides, that completely surrounds an object.

The blue rectangle is a bounding box.

The green squares are selection handles.

Bounding box extents are indicated by the selection handles when an object is selected. All coordinates of the object fall within the bounding box.

You can have bounding boxes with more than one object selected.

To create a bounding box, click and press the mouse button at a corner position where you can drag a rectangle around all or part of the log or drawing object to include in the box. Release the button when all or part of all desired objects are within the bounds of the box. The box will include all objects and logs within its area, even if only a small portion of an object was included in the box you drew.
